Epic Game Store
Epic announced its own Epic Games Store, a digital storefront open for games, on December 4, 2018, which was launched a few days later with the presentation of The Game Awards 2018. Different from the Steam's Valve store, which took 30% of revenue (30/70 revenue sharing agreements) from game sales, Epic Game Store will take 12%, and release 5% for games developed at Unreal Engine, anticipating that this lower revenue sharing agreement will attract developers.
Engine Not Real
Epic is the owner of four successful gaming machines in the video game industry. Each Unreal Engine has a complete set of graphical rendering, sound processing and physics features that can be widely adapted to suit the specific needs of game developers who don't want to create their own machine code from scratch. The four machines made by Epic are Unreal Engine 1, Unreal Engine 2 (including releases 2.5 and 2.X), Unreal Engine 3, and Unreal Engine 4. Epic also provides support for the Unreal market, digital storefront for sale by content creators. Assets are not real for other developers.
