The Storyline of the Pre-Sequel focus on jack, Hyperion corporation employee. Jack leads a group of four Vault Hunters after the company's hellios space station is captured by military unit known as the Lost Region. The game expands upon the engine and gameplay of Borderlands 2 and introduced gameplau mechanics, including oxygen tanks, low-gravity environments, and freeze weapon. which are used to navigate and perform ground slamming attacks.
Borderlands: The Pre-Squel recieved positive review from netizen: while praised for it's new gameplay features, character classes, and for maintaining the trademark humour and style of previous entries in the franchise with an additional Australian Comedy and the game was being critized for having confusing level designs, and not providing many significant deviations from the core mechanics and gameplay of borderlands 2 to make game more than simply a standalone expansion pack for it.
