Athena, "the Gladiator", is a hitman from Atlas Corporation who was introduced in the DLC Borderlands The Armory Secret General Knoxx campaign. As her main skill, Athena can use a temporary shield (called Aspis) to absorb damage; this ability can be increased to make the shield itself a weapon that can be thrown at the enemy, and allow it to absorb damage to the element which in turn can be reflected back to the enemy. Athena's "Xiphos" tree ends with a skill called "Xiphos." Xiphos was a melee override that caused Athena to run towards the enemy before touching and slashing with her sword, dealing 200% melee damage. All Xiphos trees are based on close range use. Athena's "Phalanx" skill tree is based more on its Aspis use. The Phalanx skill tree ends with a skill called "Wrath of the Goddess." Wrath of the Goddess allows Aspis (when thrown) to bounce between enemies, giving less damage to each bounce. The Athena tree skill called "Ceraunic Storm" is more focused on elemental damage. The final skill is called "Hades" Shackles, "an additional slam, after being slammed, the shock fastener is connected to the enemy. If the line of sight breaks, tether breaks. Mooring lasts 3 seconds.

Nisha, "Lawbringer", first appeared in Borderlands 2 as Jack Handsome's girlfriend and anonymous sheriff from the city of Lynchwood. His main skill, "Showdown", increases weapon damage and speed, and allows players to quickly switch between enemies in the area. His "Law & Order" skills contain buff-oriented skills known as "Orders", which can heal, restore health and protect, or temporarily increase other statistics depending on the number of piles of Orders collected. The legal part enters when a player is given enough damage to give the player a sequence, giving the opportunity to give a stack of laws to the enemy (it can be said by a star above the enemy's head), each stack gives all player damage to that enemy for one strike. The "Fan the Hammer" skill is oriented towards handling additional damage using weapons along with the ability to use two, while "The Riflewoman" combines skills that give buffs to fire and fire at speed.
Claptrap, "the Fragtrap", is the last robot left of its kind like Borderlands 2, its expertise "VaultHunter.exe" produces random effects depending on the current situation. This effect can have a positive or negative impact on players and other party members; Among these effects is a version of the skills used by characters that can be played before in the franchise.
Wilhelm's mercenary, "Enforcer", became increasingly with technology and weaponry during the game, turning him into a cybernetic stooge of Jack who fought in Borderlands 2. He could summon a pair of drones, Wolf and Saint; Wolf serves an offensive role by attacking other enemies, while Saint defends Wilhelm by providing shield and regenerating health. Two additional characters have been released as downloadable content. The first character, Jack, "the Doppelganger", is a man named Timothy Lawrence who works as Jack's dual body who can summon a digital copy of himself to help in battle. The second, Aurelia, "the Baroness", is Sir Hammerlock's sister who uses the experimental "Frost Diadem Shard" to deal with damage to the ice element on the enemy.
