Elsword Characters & Skill

Character
In the Elsword world, players can choose a class by choosing characters, each with their own background and characteristics. Each character can choose from three lines of work, each with their own fighting mode and personality.
In August 2016, all classes can advance to "Transcendence mode" where they get two new passives, one active, and three special actives starting at level 70, and two additional skill slots. Transcendence is also considered as an increase in the third job, despite having the same class.

While Class 1, Class 2, and Transcendence modes are available for all countries and continents with game servers, Ain is the only character that does not have all three classes or modes available in Europe.
When characters reach level 99 and have been transcended, they can advance to the 3rd job, either by buying items from the mall (this applies to all jobs) or completing a quest provided by the NPC. The quest is the same in all classes and characters.

Skills
Different types of skills are automatically unlocked when the player level up. Players can also choose skill characters for skills (only Active Active, Active, and Buff), which provide additional buffs such as increased damage, where usage decreases, and anti-where break skills, with some costs, sacrifices such as cooling skills or those used increased.

Elsword's expertise except Passive and Hyper Actives is also divided into four types: Flexibility (Active Skills), Tenacity (50 ~ 120MP), Strength (150 ~ 200MP), and Courage (250 ~ 300MP).
  1. Passive - effects are always active at no cost, as long as the requirements are met. There are many types of Passive, e.g. increase attack or defense, give special effects, or improve other skills.
  2. Active - requires a place to activate; where costs and cooldowns are very low but do not do significant damage. Being active can damage an opponent, can help an ally of a player, or even restore health or place. Where the cost ranges from 0 ~ 100, and cooldown ranges from 0 ~ 65 and can be modified using other skills.
  3. Buff - gives players and allies special effects or increased power for a limited time when activated. Its activation can be easily interrupted, so it has a very short cooldown. There is also a skill called De-Buff Skill which weakens the enemy for a short time. Where the cost ranges from 50 ~ 80, cooldown ranges from 10 ~ 30, and buff duration ranges from 3 ~ 100.
  4. Special Active - has a special skill image when activated. The damage is relatively strong, so it has a very high cost. Most Special Activations cannot be used in combos, but there are some that can. Special Actives have a very low chance of being interrupted when the character gets a frame mismatch, but if so, then where will it not be returned and the cooldown will begin. Where costs range from 35 ~ 300 and cooldown ranges from 5 ~ 30
  5. Locked Skill - requires completion of a quest to be unlocked. After completing the quest, Camilla gives players an unlock book skill that can unlock certain types of Locked Skills. Because of this weakness, they are usually stronger than most skills. Once opened, it can be Passive, Active or Specially Active. There are four locked skills for each character: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert, unlocked at levels 30, 40, 45, and 60, respectively. The higher the Level Seal, the more difficult it is to unlock.
  6. Chain Skills - Specifically for Ara, he can 'cancel' skills and continue with other skills. Chain skills have four skills in them. If the skill is successful, he will perform the fifth skill, which is not available in the skill tree. The Royal Guard and Noblesse can also use the Chain Skill, connect the skills each carried by Lu and Ciel, and proceed with the Combination Skill.
  7. Combination Skills - only available for Lu / Ciel. This is a skill that utilizes both to carry out powerful attacks. Does not require space, but requires a full switch meter and consumes it fully. There is also no cooldown, because it takes a long time to get a full Gauge Switch.
  8. Hyper Activation - the strongest skill; might be available on another server. This is also a skill that is locked and can be unlocked at level 65. Hyper Actives can reduce the age of enemy players or even cause Kill Once Hit when landing successfully. They need 300 MP to use and have a 180 second cooldown. In addition, Hyper Actives uses one El Essence, which can be obtained from El stones (one El stone produces three El Essences). The 180 second requirement can be reduced to 60 seconds (leaving 120 seconds) with the use of the El Essence Concentrate.
